The Ontario Association of School Business Officials is an autonomous, non-profit, educational organization dedicated to improving the quality of school business management as well as the status, competency, leadership qualities, and ethical standards of school business officials at all levels.

To meet its objectives, OASBO has organized an Annual Conference that provides an opportunity for the representatives of various Boards of Education to be exposed to the innovative products and services designed to improve school business management.

Elyxyr contributed towards OASBO objectives by introducing to the Conference a suite of Web-Based applications designed to streamline the business process of school management. The applications included:

• e-Permit system: a Web-Based designed to streamline and facilitate Permit Management for school facilities;
• Facilities Management System: a Web-Based, GIS application designed to streamline the Management, Planning, and Deployment of School Board’s assets
• Caretaker Management System: a Web-Based application designed to improve the efficiency of Human Resource Management.

MISA Conference

The Municipal Information Systems Association (MISA) is a Canadian Association of Municipal Government representatives working towards a more effective Government, through the appropriate use of Information Technology.

To meet these objectives MISA has organized an Annual Conference, which provides an opportunity for government representatives at all levels to become acquainted with the latest IT solutions and strategies designed to streamline and raise the cost-efficiency of government business processes.

Elyxyr contributed towards MISA objectives by introducing to the Conference a suite of Web-Based applications designed to streamline various government business processes. The suite of applications included:

• GIS Frameworks: a customizable viewer designed to minimize the time required for accessing, updating and maintaining Corporate Data by presenting it in an easy to use, graphical format.
• Facilities Management System: a Web-enabled, GIS-based system designed to streamline the Management and Deployment of organization’s assets.
• Building Permit System: a Web-Based Municipal Permit System that facilitates the Government-to-Public collaboration associated with the fulfillment of Municipal Building Permits.
Web-Based Kiosk: a Web Kiosk designed to facilitate Government-to-Public services.

The mission statement of Showcase Ontario is “Using Information Technology to transform Government for the 21st century.” Showcase Ontario is an annual event that represents an opportunity for the Municipal, Provincial and Federal Government representatives across Canada to be exposed to the latest trends in Information Technology designed to improve and streamline government business processes.
